| Ahh? So you want to know about the fabled Castle Azeloth, do you? Few people in
the Empire outside of its walls know it like I do, for I once called it home.
I was a squire to Prince Morlis, training to be a great knight, but I get ahead
of myself.
It is a beautiful court, its stately walls and grand towers standing as a testament to the greatness that built it and that it builds for the ages yet to come. The prosperity that the lords of the castle have nurtured brings a brisk trade in the markets of the keep, which you would be wise to visit! The castle stands upon a nexus of great power: whether it was built there to harness or even tame those powers, or if some ancient sage of the keep formed it with her arts is lost to history, but power crackles in its very stones, power that infuses everything and can change all that lives there. The vortex storms can be beautiful, but not all the change that it has wrought is so innocent. Be warned, life has been changed by the touch of the vortex, and it can drive some men mad! As I said, I went there to become a knight, for Azeloth is a paragon of the knightly arts, and many go there to learn the ways of chivalry and war, perhaps to join the ranks of heroes. The finest war horses in all of the Empire are bred and trained there, a project begun by the Good Queen Elwyn: trust her, friend, for her heart is virtuous and good. My years there were the happiest I have known, until the troubles began. I was not man enough to stand by my Prince in the face of such horrible madness, and I fled, my dreams buried in this humble life I lead now. Perhaps you, brave adventurer, will be strong where I was not. Azeloth needs champions in these troubled times. |
