| When the city of Talorien decided to build the ferry, they needed a port to
dock the large boat. Marienhafen was born. The Waters are deep and calm and the
land around it is quiet and scenic. Soon after the ferry began making its
voyages to Korpel city, a new village sprung up almost overnight in
Marienhafen. Small huts housed many fisherman trying to make a living by
selling their fish to travellers and merchants coming from or going to Korpel
city.
Some of the inhabitants of Marienhafen aren't diehard fisherman, but seagoers who charter boating trips for wealthy patrons who need a bit of relaxation. Seagulls and tourists alike come to Marienhafen for a good meal. The village itself gets all it needs from the city of Talorien, but they have made their own pub in the village for the hardworking fisherman and occasional travellers to have a meal and a drink and tell old stories about the one that got away. |
