supremacy throughout the Empire. Both perished in their ill-guided attempt, and

the landscape was scarred beyond healing by the conflict. In his wisdom, the

emperor himself declared these Carrion Fields to be a no-man's land, forbidden

to settlers and simple folk. However, the Carrion Fields remain as a testament

to the war for supremacy over equals. Any adventurer who deems themselves

capable may now seek to embark upon a Quest of blood, to do battle in this

ravaged place against those who might serve as their rivals. The last one

standing after such a battle will know glory untold, and be sung of for ages

yet to come.
