Like their close cousins, the fauns, darkfauns possess the legs and cloven hooves of a goat as well as a human-like upper body. Sharp little horns stick out from their thick curls with a sinister aspect suggestively different from those of their relatives. Darkfauns usually live in wooded places or comfortable caves where they keep their homes, but are distanced from other, carefree, woodland dwellers. Some choose to work with dark and sinister arts, whereas others garner power to ensure that they are simply left alone, but there is an aura to almost every darkfaun that warns of the dangers of overstepping one's boundaries around them.
